Start with how much sun the lawn gets, then think about the sand and salt.
If the house is a holiday home or rental, or you simply want to mow less, Empire Zoysia is the one to look at. It grows slowly and densely, holds its colour through dry spells and copes with coastal air. It costs $15.50/m².
Tall trees and two-storey neighbours throw a lot of shade in Noosa streets. Sir Walter is the most shade-tolerant of our three varieties and has a soft, broad leaf for kids and pets. It also costs $15.50/m².
For large, full-sun areas such as a hinterland block behind Tewantin, Wintergreen couch at $7.00/m² is the economical option. It needs sun all day and will not hold up under trees.
We supply turf to Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Noosa Junction, Tewantin, Sunshine Beach, Sunrise Beach, Castaways Beach and Peregian Beach, and west to Cooroy. Include your street address when you order or ask for a quote and we will confirm delivery for your job.
Tell us about access when you order: narrow driveways, steep sites and unit complexes are common in Noosa, and it helps to know where the pallets can be put down.

In Noosa the choice usually comes down to Empire Zoysia or Sir Walter. Both cope with coastal conditions better than a fine couch; the deciding factor is shade.
Getting the quantity right matters more when your turf travels from Woodford to Noosa, because a short order means waiting for a second delivery.

It helps. A layer of turf underlay soil holds water and nutrients near the new roots. Our soil under turf guide covers depth and quantities.
More often than on clay, because sand drains quickly. Keep the soil under the turf damp for the first weeks, then water less often but more deeply. Our watering schedule sets out each week.
